About the event

During 2023/24, the team from UniSQ worked with Regional Development Australia Wide Bay Burnett to carry out extensive stakeholder engagement and develop the Mary and the Burnett Regional Drought Resilience Plans (RDRPs). These two RDRPs both contain Action Plans that broadly describe initiatives that stakeholders across the region recommended to lessen the impacts of drought and build future resilience. Now that the RDRPs have been formally approved by the State and the Australian governments, we move forward in developing an implementation plan and turn the broad initiatives into ‘fundable’ projects.


We invite you to work with us as interested stakeholders to gather your ideas and inputs and co-design a series of project outlines based on the broad ideas in the RDRP Action Plans.
