About the event
Ag Horizons Forum will be held in Kingaroy on June 19, 2026, bringing together farmers, families and regional communities to explore practical solutions for a stronger and more sustainable agricultural future.
With an exciting line-up of guest speakers, the event will feature Josh Gadischke from Plenty Foods, who will present on regional value creation and why processing matters in modern agriculture. Drawing on firsthand industry experience, Josh will explore why scale and efficiency have become essential for survival in today’s agricultural and food manufacturing sectors.
Professor Ben Lyons from the University of Southern Queensland will discuss rural and regional economies and why Australian industries are so important to regional growth and the nation’s future.
They will also be joined by Rachel Chambers from the Queensland Food Farmers Commissioner, who will share insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of food and farming in Queensland.
