Position:      Permanent Part-Time 24 hours per week
Salary:         $26.50 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation

About RDA WBB:
Regional Development Australia (RDA) committees build partnerships between governments, regional development organisations, local businesses, community groups and key regional stakeholders to provide strategic and targeted responses to economic, issues affecting the regions of Australia. RDA is delivered through a national network of 55 committees, with Regional Development Australia Wide Bay Burnett (RDA WBB) covering the local government areas: Gympie, Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, North Burnett, South Burnett and Cherbourg.

About the position:
RDA WBB is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team as Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will be the first point of contact for organisations and individuals in their communications with RDA WBB. The role will provide secretarial, organisational and administrative support to the Executive Officer including financial and organisational report preparation, internal and external correspondence and assist with regional event/activity organisation.

Key accountabilities will include;

    • Provide full administrative support to the Executive Officer including travel-related arrangements
    • Meeting minute taking
    • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
    • Coordination and administration of events, workshops, board meetings etc
    • Preparation of creative presentations
    • Database management
    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of online newsletters and other bulk correspondence and social media postings
    • Website content management and updates
    • Bookkeeping responsibilities including:
      • QuickBooks or accountancy software
      • Payroll
      • Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Preparation of reports including Board Reports and Quarterly KPI ‘s.
  • Ensuring the successful day to day management of the office

About the person:
The successful candidate will be highly organised demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior experience in the preparation of financial reports along with the ability to manage competing deadlines, establish goals and priorities is an advantage.

You should have the following attributes:

  • Strong experience in QuickBooks, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent telephone & administrative skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, use own initiative, manage & prioritise multiple tasks
