The role of Director Regional Development with Regional Development Australia (RDA) Wide Bay Burnett is currently open for applications.
The position of Director of Regional Director is a key role with the Regional Development Australia – Wide Bay Burnett Committee that works with all levels of government and key regional influencers to support and enhance the region’s strong growth by harnessing its competitive advantages, seizing on economic opportunities and attracting investment.
To be successful
To be successful in this role, you demonstrate high levels of successful commercial, economic and political acumen supported by exceptional hands-on communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, problem-solving and leadership competencies.
You will need a minimum five years management responsibility that includes developing and implementing strategic and business plans and accountability for organisational operations and budget. No formal qualifications are required. However, a degree in business, communications, planning or regional development would be an advantage. Experience in community, economic and/or regional development will be well-regarded.
You will be based on the picturesque Hervey Bay and supported by a small team with responsibility for managing the day to day operations of the organisation, identifying economic opportunities, leveraging private and public-sector investment to the region and developing / implementing activities aligned with the Regional Development Australia – Wide Bay Burnett strategic plan.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment.
